A hilarious expression adorns the face of this image of the Daruma, his red robes forming the body of the tray and his fly whisk the upper edge, made by Shobundo and enclosed in the original signed wooden box titled Daruma Cha-bon (Tea Tray). On the base is a seal from Yamaguchi Shobundo (Masataro), a Meiji to early Showa era Studio in Takamatsu City on the Island of Shikoku specializing in Sanuki Bori carving and lacquer. It also contains the original card from the gallery with a four digit phone number. The tray is 20-1/2 x 13 x 1-1/2 inches (52 x 34 x 4 cm) and in excellent condition.
