A pair of mythical guardian Lions (shishi, fu-dogs, lion-dogs, they are known by many names) in bronze with a powerful forward stance typical of the early 20th century. The fearsome creatures feature narrow waists and bulging pigeon chests; manes flowing down over broad shoulders. They are 16 cm (6-1/2 inches) long, 13 cm (5 inches) tall. And in excellent condition likely 1930s.
