A rare set of Han-gote forearm protection in tsutsu-gote style of hinged russet iron plates joined to the hand protection by extremely close-knit chain mail. This is mounted on blue silk with designs in couched silver thread over layers of rough hemp bound with dyed deer skin. Top quality, made to fit an adult, in overall fine condition.
Kote ordinarily attach to the armor, covering from the shoulder, sometimes even with extra protection for the arm pit, however these are made to cover from the elbow down to the fingers.
