| A semi-abstract early to mid Edo landscape of cherry blossoms and maple shading a shrine with moriage gold clouds patterned with geometrics and waves separating it from a tempestuous sea. The gold has worn off the moriage patterns creating a great sense of age. Incredibly decorative. The scene is enclosed in a kinran gold border and features a black lacquered wooden frame. The screen is 67 inches (170 cm) tall, 6 feet (182 cm) wide. There are many old repairs and the hinge has been reinforced. | |||||||||||||||
