| A finely painted small two panel screen dated 1935 and signed Kayo featuring horses in a grassy field on silk covered gold. The artist has captured the spirit of the family well, the mother looking kindly at the milking youth, the Father standing proudly in a defensive posture. Each hair is deftly brushed, showing the artists familiarity with the proud subject in the curving and cowlicks of hair, and bulging veins on their powerful musculature. This has been completely remounted and is in perfect condtion, with a sturdy blue backing cloth. Each panel is 40-1/2 x 34 inches (103 x 88.5 cm). | ||||||||||||
