| Iron and gray decorate the ashen sides of this splendid 18th to 19th century Shino Kogo incense box made for use in the Zen Tea Ceremony. The piece is 1-1/2 inches (4 cm) square and in fine condition, held in a chirimen shifuku silk bag and enclosed in the original age darkened wooden box. The slashes of light rise up through the red under-color, reminiscent of autumns dried grasses. A tiny masterpiece to be appreciated more the longer one sees it. | ||||||||||
