| A superbly cast pair of Uzura (quail) in custom made period storage box complete with original wooden stand. Each one is minutely detailed and realistic, each individual feather a compliment to the craftsmans skill. The box, dated Taisho 8 (1919) has a separate compartment for the stand, and a carved base into which the birds feet fit, with each bird secured about the middle by sliding plate of wood. Each bird is roughly 3-4 inches tall and in excellent condition. | |||||||||||||||
