Set 6 Rare Japanese Whiskey Cups by Kiyomizu Rokube
Here are six cups enclosed in the original box titled Tetsu-e Yo-shu Guinomi (Iron decorated Drinking cups for Western Alcohol). I must admit I have never seen a set of guinomi for western alcohol before. Each piece is uniquely decorated with a different pattern in underglaze iron and is individually stamped with the Rokube mark. They are 2-1/4 inches (5.8 cm) tall, all in perfect condition. The set is likely the work of Kiyomizu Rokube IV (Rokuko, 1847-1920) or possibly his succesor Rokube V (Rokuwa, 1874-1959).
