19th c. Korean Joseon Dynasty Vase
Please refer to our stock # TCR6929 when inquiring.
A large Korean white glazed bottle featuring a cup-shaped mouth and a narrow neck with pale glaze and typical kiln grit to base of foot rim dating from mid to later 19th century. A few speckles of iron inhabit the surface, otherwise it is unadorned. A jaunt in the neck causes it to dance in a switling fashion when the bottle is turned. It is 12 inches (30 cm) tall and in overall fine condition, in a wood box from a Japanese collection. There is a vertical glaze fracture which has colored yellow with time, I have not cleaned it and is visible in the last photograph.
