A set of male and female crabs in what appears to be Yo-gin or nickel with fully functional legs and claws. Although nearly identical from the top, the bottom reveals the difference between the sexes. Remarkably realistic. With legs fully extended they are roughly 4-1/2 inches (11.5 cm) wide and in fine condition. The underside plate is hinged to reveal a tiny inner compartment.

Alternating silver and brass spires are inlayed into the eight sides of this fine art deco vase by Hongo Kakuho enclosed in a woodn box. It is 12 inches (30.5 cm) tall, 5 inches (12.5 cm) across the top and in fine condition. The box is signed by Hongo Toshihoko. Works by Hongo Kakuho (1916-1995) are held in the Takaoka City Museum.
