A black lacquered wooden tray decorated in red lacquer by the renowned priest Shimizu Kosho with a giant white radish and the words Harvest in Fall and Store for Winter. The tray is 12 inches (30 cm) diameter and in perfect condition, enclosed in a signed wooden box. Kosho (1911-1999) was a unique and versatile artist-priest studied in the eccentric painting style associated with Nara.
