Two antique Seto Chaire with a gold lined ivory lid shared between them. The round form is just less than 3 inches tall, the other 3-1/2 inches tall (7 cm and 8.5 cm respectively). Both are in fine condition.
A Tenmoku Tetsu-e Cha-Tsubo decorated with pale characters over the dark glaze from the Tetsuzan Kiln with gold lined ivory lid enclosed in the original signed wooden box wrapped in a stamped shifuku cloth bag. The Chaire is just less than 4 inches (9.5 cm) tall and in excellent condition dating from the first part of the 20th century.
A bowl of celebration by the former Abbot of Daitokuji Temple Sohan Gempo (Shoun) enclosed in an old wooden box. According to the former owner, this bowl was created in Taisho 4 (1915) by the potter Seizan, with calligraphy and decoration performed by Shoun to commemorate appointment of rank by the Taisho Emperor.
