A Kinpaku Shu-odoshi Yokohagi Ni Mai Do Gusoku Armor covered in applied gold with orange lacing dating from the Edo period. The helmet is a 62 plate Tetsuji raw iron bowl with unusually long gold shikoro and brass fukurin about the mabizashi. The mask is a me-no-shita Ho with gold nodokakae throat defense. It features Chu-sode covered in gold outside, black lacquer within. There is some bubbling of the gold on the sode as is visible in the photos. An Edo period iron Go-Mai-Do Armor in black lacquer signed in a gold tablet Myochin Munechika under the right arm. It features a 24 plates Suji Kabuto in Sabiji-nuri wih black lacquered Shikoro threaded with blue and orange with white piping (matching that on the Nodokake, Sode and Kusazuri). Two crushed silver panels backed with cloth patterned with black crows and golden hototogisu birds enclosed in wooden frames with wiped on red lacquer finish inset with tsuba sword guards and knife handles. A fierce, Middle-Edo Period Kyogen Mask with brass ringed eyes enclosed in an antique black lacquered wooden box. The front is covered in burnished white gofun, with painted beard and moustache. The back is raw, age blackened wood. It is roughly 8-1/2 inches (21.5 cm) tall. There are some stable cracks in the gofun not at all surprising for the age, otherwise in fine condition..
