The broken blade of a stone age knife excavated in Japan is contained in this antique custom silk lined wooden box dated 1922. The three shards total 9-1/2 inches (14.5 cm) in length, from the base of the haft to near the tip. The box is titled Stone Age Japanese Knife, and contains a long inscription within. A fierce, Middle-Edo Period Kyogen Mask with brass ringed eyes enclosed in an antique black lacquered wooden box. The front is covered in burnished white gofun, with painted beard and moustache. The back is raw, age blackened wood. It is roughly 8-1/2 inches (21.5 cm) tall. There are some stable cracks in the gofun not at all surprising for the age, otherwise in fine condition..

A beautifully restored Edo period suit of black lacquered Nerikawa armor featuring a spectacular iron mask. THe black lacquered helmet bowl is supplanted with a leather wrapped mabizashi and five lame Hineno-Shikoro curving to fit the shoulders. Astride the helmet is a gilded dragon with glass eyes. The mask is a Reisei-Ho in raw iron with long drooping moustache and black scaled nodokake throat guard. Black lacquer laced with white leather makes for a striking presentation om this all matching collapsible armor dating from the Edo period. The helmet is a chochin kabuto with original locking bar. It features a hanpo mask and Do of rectangular plates with a belt of Kusazuri hanging from loops at the waist.
