A fine mid 19th century Hirado covered dish with pure white porcelain decorated with fine painting in underglaze blue of a dragon in roiling clouds. Key frets adorn the sides where lid and bowl meet, and flowers serve opposite to decorate the bowl. The dish is 6 inches (15.5 cm) diameter, 3-3/4 inches (9.5 cm) tall.
