Reluctance to draw his sword is won over by a firm sense of resolve evident in the conflicted expression; he strokes his beard with one hand, the sword of righteousness raised firmly in the other. A superb pair of hand-crafted articulated silver crabs clamber about an igneous rosewood burl carved with a crab and frogs signed Kakuho(›…•õ) set on a black lacquered wooden display stand.
