Sold, thank you!

A large flaring bronze dating from the first half of the Meiji period with key frets top and bottom and a band of sculpted waves crashing about rocks in which turtles play. On the base is a circular dragon dial in relief. The vessel is 15 inches (38 cm) tall, 9-1/2 inches (24.5 cm) diameter at the top, and in fine condition. There is a fan shaped inset in the rim, possible covering the stem where the bronze was poured into the mold. Fine detail and an excellent cast.
