Two fragmented roof tiles excavated from a Nara-Heian era site alongside one from China, both decorated with floral motifs. Each was originally roughly 6 inches (15 cm) diameter. This is from a collection of scholar items we are currently offering from the estate of a Kyoto family involved in literati and art movements from the later Edo period on.
