A Kinpaku Shu-odoshi Yokohagi Ni Mai Do Gusoku Armor covered in applied gold with orange lacing dating from the Edo period. The helmet is a 62 plate Tetsuji raw iron bowl with unusually long gold shikoro and brass fukurin about the mabizashi. The mask is a me-no-shita Ho with gold nodokakae throat defense. An Edo period iron Go-Mai-Do Armor in black lacquer signed in a gold tablet Myochin Munechika under the right arm. It features a 24 plates Suji Kabuto in Sabiji-nuri wih black lacquered Shikoro threaded with blue and orange with white piping (matching that on the Nodokake, Sode and Kusazuri). A beautiful Japanese garden estate is sketched around the outside of this bowl with a painting within of fruits by western oil painter Aoki Koho (b. 1891) the bowl stamped Jusoken Kikko. The outlines of buildings are hidden among rocks and trees, stone lanterns and bamboo glades. The inscription within reads Ito Kei Shinchiku Kinnen (In commemoration of the building of the new Ito Residence). A sweeping cobalt landscape by Okochi Yako (1893-1957) dominated by a cluster of gnarled trees has been dashed about the circumference of this large vessel by Yamasawa Shoko I. The landscape is punctuated by a Chinese style poem filling the void of a sea followed by the signature Yakojin-ga. Engraved into the base is the signature Dai Nippon Shoko Saku.
