ABOUT THE KURA
The Kura is a growing conglomerate of Kansai area suppliers and retailers dedicated to the idea of the Mainichi Kotosai. The word Mainichi means daily, and Kotosai are the great antique markets, which are hosted yearly in Tokyo, Kyoto Kanazawa and Hiroshima where hundreds of retailers gather in one place to make their wares available for a weekend. We would like to create this same environment virtually.
Among the various dealers we represent are specialists in Japanese Art, offering a variety of items from screens to sliding doors to scrolls. Covering a range of time from the Beginning of the Edo period to the end of the 20th century. Whether you are looking for Kano, Rinpa, Tosa, Maruyama/Shijo or Zenga, we have something for you to see.
Also represented are dealers of fine Japanese ceramics and tea ceremony related items. We offer a wide variety of ceramics from the Edo period to modern in all familiar styles, Raku, Bizen, Shigaraki,Tamba, Shino, and Hagi along with other items such as baskets and teapots.
On a somewhat unique note, I, the computer guy, personally am a member of a Taiko performance group, and it is my pleasure to offer fellow Taiko players around the world the opportunity to purchase genuine Japanese Wadaiko at wholesale prices. Our site is updated weekly, so please check back often.

All Items are guaranteed to be as described. If it is not as described, please inform us and return the item for a full refund of the purchase price. No restocking fees or other miscellaneous charges are collected. For all items not exceeding size restrictions the cost of fully insured express mail service is included in the price. Oversize items such as Fusuma doors and Large screens will be shipped Air Delivery to your door. For this service the customer will be charged half the actual shipping cost.
